Who are our surrogates?
Our surrogate mothers pass extensive physical, psychological and social screening. They meet all American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) guidelines as well as our surrogacy requirements. All of our surrogates reside in the US, and all children born on American soil are entitled to US citizenship. Read more about our selection process and the surrogate journey here.
Which type of surrogacy should you choose?
IMA ART Fertility offers both traditional surrogacy and gestational surrogacy. The best method of surrogacy for you depends on numerous factors, including fertility of the intended mother and father. These will be assessed through our screening process, and we will help you make an informed decision.
In traditional surrogacy, sperm from the intended father or donor is washed and then fertilizes an egg of the surrogate mother. In this method, the baby will share the surrogate's genes. This process will take place at a fertility clinic.
In gestational surrogacy, the surrogate mother has no genetic relation to the baby. The egg and sperm for creating the embryo is provided by the intended parents or via sperm or egg donation. The embryo is fertilized in a lab and then implanted into the uterus of the gestational surrogate through embryo transfer at an IVF clinic.

What is the cost of surrogacy?
The cost of surrogacy varies depending on a number of factors, which are decided and mutually agreed upon between our intended parents and the surrogate mother they choose. However, at IMA ART Fertility, the base compensation for surrogates is up to $85,000. Carrying a baby for nine months is hard work, and IMA ART Fertility wants our surrogates to be fairly rewarded. It’s also our goal that you have a stress-free, luxurious experience.
Every woman should have a stress-free pregnancy for the health of the unborn child and successfully carrying the baby to term, and for their own health.
